We Are Willow – Berlin
For four years, artist and musician Chris Butler and photographer Will Grundy have travelled regularly between Berlin and the UK under the collaborative name We Are Willow.
This is a past exhibition.
Their encounters in the vibrant German city and the new relationships they formed there have inspired an album, a book of photography and this exhibition drawn from the Whitworth’s collection. Presenting themes of isolation, voyeurism, escape and disorientation. We are Willow have selected works that both evoke thir experiences of Berlin and correspond with the music and photography they created there.
