Venture Arts artist Sally Hirst is currently an Artist in Residence in our Everyday Art School gallery where her practice is influenced by the Whitworth’s exhibitions, collections, programmes, and visitors.

Sally is a socially engaged illustrator, textile artist and ceramicist with much of her work being inspired by the people around her.

Sally is currently exploring the history of textile inventions and stories from mill workers, and you can find her every Thursday between 10:30am – 2:30pm, in our Everyday Art School space on our mezzanine.
