Outdoor Art Club

Workshops that bring art, nature and creativity together
that take place come rain or shine.

Outdoor Art Club

Play-based outdoor workshops for all the family, but particularly brilliant for two to eight year-olds – encouraging children to play freely while exploring nature.

Splash around in the water play, create a masterpiece in our mud painting studio, and produce all sorts of yucky and marvellous medicines at the potion stations. In these free, outdoor workshops, children can move around the activities in their own time.

We believe that connecting children with nature early helps to foster a positive relationship with the environment. Through these sessions, we hope to nurture the next generation of climate change makers.

Our Outdoor Art Club takes place outdoors come rain or shine, so we recommend that you wear suitable clothing, waterproofs and wellies, especially during the winter months. You may need to be patient during busy times – if we are at full capacity when you arrive, you can explore Whitworth Park with our Welly Walks booklet or spend some time at the play park nearby.

‘The outdoor sessions are so much fun! I bring both my three and one-year-olds and they both love it. The session leaders are lovely and really good at encouraging children to explore nature but most importantly to just be children and play’
