Embroidery Workshop with Jounghye Yoo

Free, booking requiredJoin exhibiting artist Jounghye Yoo for a special embroidery workshop inspired by Hyundai Translocal Series: Entangled and Woven, centred on her installation Gilded Veil, which brings together Korean silk embroidery and Indian ajrakh block printing. Participants will embroider onto intricately hand-printed and naturally dyed ajrakh fabric created by master dyer Dr Ismail Khatri, engaging directly with these cross-cultural techniques and taking home a unique textile piece.

Embroidery Workshops with Ibukun Baldwin

Free, booking requiredBuilding on the themes of Hyundai Translocal Series: Entangled and Woven and artist Jounghye Yoo’s work, these sessions, led by Ibukun Baldwin, offer a relaxed introduction to embroidery through hands-on making. Participants will work on intricately hand-printed ajrakh textiles featured in Yoo’s installation, and create their own piece to take home.
