Make Art: Manchester
A relaxed, creative space for artists to connect, make art and share ideas. Free, in-person sessions led by Outside In artists in the Clore Garden Studio.
Make Art: Manchester is a free art group run by Outside In artists Dara Addams and Valeria Leonova, taking place in the Clore Garden Studio at the Whitworth.
These sessions offer an opportunity to connect with other artists in a friendly, inclusive space — to talk about art, life and creativity, hatch new ideas, and explore your potential as an artist.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own creative projects, though some materials will be available for those who wish to try something new. For those who prefer more structure, each session includes an optional theme inspired by current exhibitions.
You don’t need to be an Outside In member to attend, as long as you meet the organisation’s criteria of facing barriers to the art world (for example, due to isolation, disability, mental illness or social circumstances).
Please use the step-free entrance at the back of the building, as art materials can’t be carried through the main gallery.
