Gallery maintenance updates

Ongoing maintenance work is taking place in select areas in and around the building

External wall repair work 
Start date: July 2025 - January 2026

You might notice some areas around the outside of the gallery and the park are temporarily fenced off. This is to allow essential repair work on one of the external walls of our beautiful historic building.

Over time, weather and age have caused damage to the wall’s stonework and pointing, so specialist conservation work is now underway to help protect and preserve the structure. These repairs are an important part of caring for the building’s historic character and ensuring it remains safe, secure, and welcoming for everyone who visits.

The gallery and park will remain open as usual, and we’re doing our best to keep the noise and disruption to a minimum.
