Family Facilities
Discover what family facilities are available at the Whitworth, to help you plan your visit.
We understand that the little things can make a big difference to a day out with babies, toddlers, or pre-schoolers. We’ve tried our best to think of everything to make your visit that bit more brilliant – from buggy parks to free nappies and wipes.
Our facilities:
- Baby changing – there are three baby changing areas within the gallery
- Family Room – including a baby changing area and accessible toilet
- Two baby carriers – just ask at the Oxford Road Reception desk
- Buggy locks – there are six coin-operated buggy locks on the Lower Ground Floor
- Emergency baby supplies kit – including nappies, wet wipes, Sudocrem and cotton wool, just ask at our Oxford Road Entrance Reception
- Lockers – head to the Lower Ground floor for our coin-operated lockers

Breast and bottle feeding
You are welcome to breast or bottle feed babies in our gallery spaces, where there is plenty of seating. If you would like somewhere a little more private, please ask a member of staff for some suggestions.
Food cannot be consumed anywhere in the gallery spaces – please see our Gallery Map and Floor Guide page for places you can eat your own food.
