Radical Acts Seminar: Solidarity, Resistance, Re-activation
Part of a series of events in series of seminars in partnership with the Department of Art History and Cultural Practices, The University of Manchester. This session will bring together scholar-activists and practitioners Sepake Angiama, Althea Greenan and Alexandra Kokoli to discuss artistic practices of solidarity around antinuclear campaigns, black women’s organising, and poster collections from the Women’s Art Library. Three short presentations will showcase the creative endeavours that underpinned artists’ political strategies of resistance and feminist efforts to tell, and re-activate, these histories. The presentations will be followed by a group discussion.
