GLAM at Manchester Pride
The Whitworth joined galleries, libraries, archives and museums across Greater Manchester to march in the Manchester Pride Parade 2025.
For the first time in Manchester Pride's history, institutions from across Greater Manchester's cultural sector marched together in the Manchester Pride Parade 2025. Entered as GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives and museums), 14 institutions responsible for collecting and maintaining cultural heritage materials in the public interest joined together for the historic march, beginning at midday on Saturday 23 August. These collecting institutions preserve and make Greater Manchester's cultural assets accessible to the public.
