You’re always welcome to lead to lead your class or group around the gallery yourself. We can provide everything you need to plan and enjoy your visit – just email steven.roper@manchester.ac.uk to let us know you’re coming and to find out more.

TACTILE

Free to use either in the gallery, or at your school or college, TACTILE is our contemporary textile handling resource, encouraging you and your students to examine, handle and discuss commissioned samples by 22 textile artists.

To accompany the works, each artist has provided a selection of supporting materials such as sketchbooks, photographic images, postcards and catalogues that explore each maker’s journey from initial concept to the finished product.

For more information, visit our Tactile Textile Resources blog. To find out more about our bookable workshops led by TACTILE artists, visit our Secondary Art School page.
