Come along and visit the art gallery, The WhitworthShop, café, the Park and grounds.
Art Gallery
Our usual opening times are Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-5pm and on Thursdays until 9pm*.
We are closed on Mondays, including all Bank Holiday Mondays.
Free entry, and open to all.
*The gallery’s Parkside entrance, off Denmark Road, closes each day at 5pm, until 31 March 2024.
The gallery is open late until 9pm on Thursdays, on these days please enter the gallery through the Oxford Road entrance after 5pm.
*On Wednesday 19 June 2024, the gallery will CLOSE early at 1pm, and the Café will be closed all day. We appologies for any inconvenience caused.
The Whitworth Shop

The Whitworth Café
Located in the elegant glass and stainless-steel extension the café overlooks Whitworth Park and the gallery’s art garden.
Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-5pm*
Thursdays 10am-8pm
*On Wednesday 19 June 2024, the Café will be CLOSED all day, and the gallery will close early at 1pm. We appologies for any inconvenience caused.

6-9 June | Walk-ins only
Our popular Café is operating on a walk-in basis only during the Universally Manchester Festival & Whitworth Carnival (6 to 9 June), meaning you don’t need a reservation on these dates. Just turn up on the day, and the team will do their best to accommodate you. In good weather, additional outdoor seating is available on the Cafe Terrace overlooking the park.
