Early Years | PLAY Live
During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic we have taken our Early Years programme online. For the new 2021 term, on a chosen Monday each month, we will be running live Zoom play workshops.
Early Years – PLAY Live
We invite you to play along with us in these workshops specially designed for under 5s and their grown-ups. These sessions are 45 minutes long are led by an artist who will guide you through playful activities demonstrating and modelling how simple materials you will have to hand can be used playfully at home.
Activities and objects will be suggested and adapted for different ages, including babies under 2yrs.

All Whitworth events are run on the understanding that all participants will be respectful and thoughtful to others. It is our responsibility to create spaces online that are welcoming and safe. Any behaviour that affects our ability to maintain such values will not be tolerated and attendees will be removed by the host.
In the spring & summer term of 2020, every Monday we shared ideas and suggestions on social media demonstrating ways in which to re-create an Atelier environment in the home or setting. We have collated all these and included them below so you can pick a theme and do it at a time that suits you and your little ones.
'We love doing these activities at home. It feels like lots of us are doing it 'together'. I used to love Mondays and I still love Mondays'

In each Atelier at Home post, we explored a theme or a material that is inspired by works from our collection.
