Arts Award

Arts Award is a range of unique qualifications that support anyone up to 25 grow as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through taking challenges in an art form - from fashion to film making, pottery to poetry.

Arts Award: Discover and Explore

What is your Whitworth?

Is it a space for thinking and research, a place to view and find out about amazing artworks or a creative hub to learn and imagine ideas?

Discover and explore is designed to support anyone taking their Arts Award.

Arts Award: Bronze

Learn for about the diversity of arts practice This session is perfect for those embarking on their Bronze Arts Award. Use our collections to help your research into personal arts heroes. Meet with creative professionals to support your award.

Arts Award surgeries

Drop in to our Arts Award creative surgeries that aim to support you to develop and refine your arts portfolio. As part of our Thursday Lates programme, gallery staff will be on hand to answer any questions that you may have if you are thinking about your Arts Award. There will also be free artist led workshops to develop your personal portfolio.

Our next surgery will be held on Thursday 15 September 2016 (5pm – 8pm)
