Opening times
The Whitworth's regular opening hours are:
Monday - Saturday 10am - 5pm
Sunday 12 - 4pm
Admission is free, and we are open on Bank Holiday Mondays.
*Please note: The Whitworth will close on Monday 2 September 2013, in order to carry out major development work, transforming the Gallery into a new 21st century Gallery in the Park, extending and doubling the size of the public space at the Gallery. We will reopen in Summer 2014.
Cafe opening times are:
Monday - Saturday
Breakfast 10am - 11.30am
Lunch 11.30am - 3.30pm
Cafe closes 4.30pm
Sunday
Lunch 12 - 2.30pm
Cafe closes 3.30pm
Access to the Gallery*
We aim to be accessible to visitors with disabilities. There are two disabled Wheelchairs, rollators, seating, free portable stools are available on request. There is a toilet for disabled visitors. Low lighting in most galleries. Large print information is available. Guide Dogs are welcome. For Gallery visitors only, alongside the railings, there are five designated car parking spaces for visitors with disabilities. These are not reservable.

Access to the exhibitions, Richard Long: Land Art, Nancy Holt: Land Art, Sublime on our first floor is currently only available via the gallery staircases.
