Whose Story Counts? Madness from the Inside Out
Bobby Baker & Gail Hornstein in conversation

Bobby Baker is an artist and writer whose book, Diary Drawings: Mental Illness and Me, won the 2011 Mind Book of the Year. Gail Hornstein is Professor of Psychology at Mount Holyoke College, Massachusetts, whose research and writing focus on first-person narratives of madness. Her book Agnes' Jacket: A Psychologist's Search for the Meaning of Madness was published in 2009.

The Friends of the Whitworth support the Gallery, and are a lively organisation offering a wide programme of events including lectures, behind the scenes visits, visits to other art galleries, museums, houses and gardens at home and abroad and social events.
