Study Centre

A space for individual research and group learning that houses some of the most significant works from our collection

The new Study Centre at the Whitworth is where you can study and enjoy the Whitworth’s outstanding collections of works of art on paper (including watercolours, drawings and prints), textiles, wallpapers and smaller groups of oils and sculpture.

The Study Centre is available to all by appointment with the relevant curator.

It has large tables that make up a group study area, designed to host sessions for up to 30 people, alongside dedicated study areas for individual researchers.

Study Centre opening hours: by appointment, Monday to Friday, 10.30am-4.30pm.

To request access to our Study Centre please contact a member of the curatorial team (below) with a specific enquiry.
