Entry to the Whitworth is free, with daily tours on a range of topics every day at 2pm.

Group Bookings: To book a self-led group visit, pre-book a gallery tour for your group, or to find out more about visiting the gallery in general, call us on 0161 275 7450 or email the Visitor Team

Specialist Group Bookings: To book a specialist gallery tour with a Whitworth Curator, please supply the following information about your proposed visit:

1       Proposed date

2     Organisation

3      Number in group

4     Organiser's name and contact details (email and telephone)

5      What is the specialist interest focus for the tour?

Please note a minimum of two months’ notice is required.

The new Study Centre at the Whitworth is where you can study and enjoy the Whitworth’s outstanding collections of works of art on paper (including watercolours, drawings and prints), textiles, wallpapers and smaller groups of oils and sculpture. 

The Study Centre is available to all by appointment with the relevant curator.  To book an appointment please follow the instructions on our Study Centre page

Schools and Colleges – Self-led Visits: Lead your class or group around the gallery yourself with our free, self-guided visits.

We can provide everything you need to design and support your visit, which must be booked in advance.
