Arts for Health

"The NHS adds years to your life. Museums add life to your years." Culture Unlimited

Is there a connection between creativity and health and if so what is it?

Being creative is part of being healthy. We are working collaboratively with Manchester Schools Hospital Services on an Arts for Health Programme that brings together creative practitioners, educational and healthcare professionals.

"Who Cares?'' delivers dynamic, creative opportunities to work with health professionals, carers, hospital schools and patients, addressing arts, health, creativity and wellbeing and exploring the social, personal and cultural histories of caring communities. The programme is supported by Rennaissance NorthWest.

The Arts for Health Programme and forthcoming exhibition have young peoples mental and emotional well-being and self expression at the heart of the project in order to fire their imagination and allow their creativity to flourish. Cross sector and cross-curricular collaboration will underpin the programme.

As the programme develops we will provide regular updates.
