Playful, practical and artist-led workshops designed especially for college students
Art School is an imaginative, active, hands-on learning experience for colleges, and has three themes that you can choose from:
Make: Learn how artists, architects and makers build, shape and create in sessions where children can make models, communicate ideas and learn new practical art skills. Choose from printmaking, textiles and construction.
Draw: Artists express what they see, think and feel through drawing. This playful, hands-on workshop encourages your students to do likewise. Whether in pencil, pen or pixel, students will use both familiar and unfamiliar materials to look at, respond to and record what they observe and encounter. They’ll explore drawing as thinking in sketchbooks or journals and discover new drawing styles and techniques.
Express: Choose from dance, music, spoken word or film and see your students take centre stage. The gallery is an extraordinary visual stimulus that can help generate ideas, inspire stories and encourage creativity. Working with our team of performers, students will learn to express themselves further.
Experience the gallery in a multi-sensory way. Participate in our interactive tour of the gallery, responding to the different spaces, the exhibitions, inside and outside. Workshops are tailored to suit your groups’ specific needs.
