Sample Book, Copper Roller Records - Page 49 Description

Page 49 holds a roller print on plain weave cotton, in yellow: 'indienne' floral allover, linear style. This is a roller version of Liberty's hand-block design from 1880 known as 'Rangoon Poppy'. At the top of the page the number "14s" is inscribed in ink. "14s" is likely to be the code for Liberty. Below the sample the note: "Returned to 14s. 3rd May 1894" is inscribed in ink. "Returned" is underlined in purple pencil.
