Physical Description
Technique weaving
Description Child's tunic made from eleven pieces of blue cloth (probably three different fabrics). Side gores and sewn on sleeves. The neck opening and sleeves are trimmed with applied bands with geometric (zigzag) decoration in white linen and coloured wools on a red wool ground. The tunic is pattern darned in brown wool on the front and back. Five crosses brocaded on to cloth (two on front, two on one sleeve and one on gore). Evidence of 'seating' suggests a remake from an adult tunic.
